I just encoded some video. (VCD-format)
If I burn it as a VCD - CD. the quality is ok (on TV&PC)

but if I use scenarist and burn the file on a dvd,
the quality is very bad on tv! on computer its OK!

I tried the following (with scenarist):
VCD (MPEG1, 352x288) : BAD QUALITY
DVD (MPEG2, 352,288) : BAD QUALITY
DVD (MPEG2, 720x576) : GOOD QUALITY (what else...)

what can I do? a workaround would be if I could create
a DVD with VCD stuff on it... is that possible?

or: how to get 5h of video on 1 dvd-r?

what exactly is the 'bad quality' you are experiencing?

well, the player has to "zoom" the movie I think.
and it does that SO BAD!!! pixels are blinking (like
I mixed up something with the interlaced thing...,
but MPEG1 does not even have them) and very "blocky" too.

MPEG1 on VCD: SUPER!
MPEG1 or MPEG2-halfres. on DVD: VERY BAD!
on PC: EVERYTHING GOOD.

I have a pioneer DV535.
