Need help to rip "Sex & The City" DVD

Hi,

Sex and the City DVD has 8 episodes which is selected through a menu. When I load it up in DVD2SVCD I can only see 1 chapter which is ~30 minutes long. How can I rip all 8 episodes? Do you have any guides to do this?

I think if you change the ripping method to use vstrip instead of internal routines on the DVD ripping tab you should be able to select all the vid files on the DVD.

Hi!

I had same issue with Friends 4 episode/CD. I have planned to go for Sex and the City and I feel concerned by your thread ;) .

I could not find anything with a search on the forum (only a dead link to rilanparty).

So far, I've ended encoding episodes, without DVD2SVCD, in VCD format, with perm subtitles.

To avoid doing each episode, I usually :
- DVDDecrypter to rip (selecting ALL files)
- DVD2AVI to create a single D2S project containing the 4 episodes and a WAV
- Vobsub to get subtitles
- Avisynth to resize, crop, filter, subtitle, and frameserve to...
- TMPGENc with KVCD templates to encode (forced closed GOP).

==> I get 80min on a single CD (VCD "quality")

It's tedious and unelegant...

If anybody knows a way to force DVD2SVCD to rip several episodes, as one single one, let us know, please :(

When I come across one of these I use a modified version of flask to encode. The modified version is still mpeg 1, but at 1900 or higher bitrate depending on the lenght of the episode with high quality.;)

In a nutshell, either encode each episode and then combine them with an authoring program like VCDEasy
(and you'll have nice little title breaks at each episode) or combine/rename the Vob files after riping them all.
