Recently, my video playback of anything Mpeg related will skip about half a second every now and then (about every 3 minutes or so). I thought it was a Divx problem at first, but it appears to be anything mpeg (don't know about other formats). This skip, or jitter, happens randomly with all the standard frame rates, meaning it's not a source problem.
The weirdest part is that Real and Quicktime work without a problem.
I know my processors are more than capable for the play back (Athlon MP 1500+), and I have plenty of memory.
I'm running Win2k, and my video card is a Matrox G400 32MB.
Never had a problem until last month. If anyone can tell me what might be the problem, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
UPDATE: Watching the statistics in media player classic, and again in Graphedit, the video renderer is detecting these as sync offsets and as jitters.
