I'm following the steps in the Divx 3 --> Nandub SBC guide. I've never come across this problem before in ripping anime. In certain scenes of my final avi, the playback will be choppy, looking as if the field order is incorrect. But the rest of the avi is fine. Has anybody seen anything like this?
I went back and looked at the .d2v file in TMPG. I'm using auto-IVTC cause the source is interlaced. When previewing the file to set the correct field order, the choppy scenes already look choppy (ie every few frames the picture will jump backwards) no matter what field order I set. This is very odd because the vob files play smoothly.
I used SmartRipper 2.41 and DVD2AVI - my settings are exactly what's in the guide.
Can anybody out there help me?
