i've encoded some videos @ 360x288pixels (half PAL-res.)
if i drag that into scenarist everything seems to be ok,
but the movie is not fullscreen! scenarist makes a black
border around the movie.

but what i want is just to watch it in fullscreen-mode.
like VCD! is there any option to view it like this?

i'm not using VCD because i have about 5 hours of video
and i want to have them on ONE disc!

Not much detail but I'll take a stab at it. Are you encoding with CCE? If so, do you have "DVD Compliant" checked? It shouldn't be...

yes I have checked the "dvd compilant" box!
and yes I do encode with cinemacraft 2.64SP
I encoded it @1800mbit CBR and 360x288pixels.
quality is good btw :)

and scenarist accepts the file, but makes a
black border around the 360x288 movie.
I would like to have it fullscreen like a VCD.

need some more infos?

EDIT: ou I just saw that you wrote I should NOT
check the "dvd compilant" box... I'll try later
and will write the results (in about 2hours)...

I can't import MPEG-1 into scenarist 2.6, can I?

last time that didn't work! or have I mixed up
the settings?

mpeg-1 files at VCD spec are dvd compliant, so scen. should accept it.

I changed from 360x288 to 352x288! and removed the "dvd-compilant" thing. now it works!

I also tested MPEG1 (encoded with premiere 6.5 mpeg1/2) plugin... but scenarist didn't accept that!

however... mpeg2 @halfres works fine now :)
