Please Help Me !! Error with interlacement

I everyone, I have a problem when I compress the movie "Le peuple migrateur" (in french). It's really difficult to explain in english, if there is someone french who can help me, please, say me;

As it's showed on the picture, ther is a step between odd lines and even line, but I don't know how I must do to suppress this.

I use XMpeg 4.5 with Divx 5.02 Pro codec. I tried with uninterlacement option but the result was the same. Is there someone to help me ??

I can't get the link to work. But if it's a case of the fields being displaced, you might try the Decomb plugin for AviSynth and use Telecide(). I've never used XMpeg, so I don't know if it uses an .avs.

better use GordianKnot instead of XMPEG.

Gknot's deinterlacer is better (Decomb), but if it still doesn't work, you can use another deinterlacer in the avisynth script. I guess you're dealing with a wrong field order or something like that.

Depending on the DVD, you can maybe use telecide() without having to deinterlace, or you can ivtc the whole thing (if it's 29.97fps) - that would be better than to deinterlace it.

I saw that Gordian use DVD2AVI, and I download it. It work better than XMpeg for this movie.
