Hi,

I have complet the transfer of the
matrix from dvd9 to dvd5.
There was some problems during this project.

1. Using dvdDecrypter or smartripper 2.41 make
a full backup of the movie in your hard disk.

2. them run again smartripper and take the main
movie only to an other location.

3. Know from the ripped movie make the dvd2avi project.
i have done this because i had problems in dvdMaestro
with the sound of the movie and the subtitles.

4.Know you can follow the guide http://www.doom9.org/mpg/maestro2.htm in this forum to complete the project.

This is my fifth dvd that i making with this guide.

I would like to Thanks all of you.
especially
Petr Nehez for his help.

(I'm just reading this now - Newbie member in here)

The DVD-5 you made had EVERYTHING from the DVD-9 disc or just the movie itself?
If it DID have everything, after the re-encoding, what did you have to do to make the IFO's corrected? I've done other movies before, but like it's known...The Matrix is a bi--- uh---harder movie.

I did. On the PC, it skips the Warner Bros intro. Won't play at all on a stand-alone. I re-encoded just the movie, IFOupdated it with the original IFO. Was using Maestro, am now using Scenarist for it.

When you try to burn an image with nero
is it saying that it can not make
reallocation of the files;

try ulead workshop.

Tried with Nero and ImgTool 0.99.1.
Here's what happens...

Standalone/set-top DVD player:
DVD loads, Chapter 2 appears on the LCD, nothing EVER plays.

PC DVD player:
Plays The Warner Brothers green intro (not the sky with gold logo), then goes into the root menu. Everything works otherwise.

Here's how I went about it...
1) Ripped ENTIRE DVD to HD.
2) Using DVDDecrypter in IFO mode, ripped PGC 1 (main movie) to another folder.
3) Went about the CCE/IFOedit guide using Maestro.
4) Copied new/compiled VOB's & VIDEO_TS.IFO/BUP to BACKUP folder.
5) IFOupdated original VTS_2_1.IFO from new/compiled one.
6) get non-working DVD =)
7) Frustration ensues...
8) OmegaZero posts to Doom9 forum hopefully looking for advice on something he's apparently doing wrong...

This problem is not only with matrix,

make matrix with your menu in maestro
write it in a dvd-rw or a dvd+rw and
try it in the same player.

i have found some players that
can play the defective dvd.

What exactly did you do with IFOedit/IFO update to get yours working? (If you remember)

I might cut the extras out and backup just the movie if this keeps up.

The new dvds i am making
for me it is with new menus
by me.

in this way i can put two movies in the same dvd
and the dvds i am writing it is plaing in the most
stand alone players.
