Hi,
since my english isn´t that good and I´ve looked all around this board without finding any solution for my problem, I hope somebody can help me:
I recently encoded a SVCD, with 2 languages and 2 subtitles, first language was german and second was english. So till now I´ve never had problems with only 1 language. After puting the SVCD in my DVD standalone, image was fine, but there´s big problem with first audio stream, audio is out of sync, audio is some seconds before video, but when I change to second audio stream, all works fine. Subtitles work fine, too. I had the same problem with another movie, using two language, too. Then I tried to encode only a few chapters of the first movie, works great, no sync problems. So I took a look at the encoded files in my movie folder, opening the bbMPEG_Filexx.mpg and the bbMPEG_File xx Streamxx.mp2 audio files, and the 2 mp2 audio streams have different beginnings, the second one starts with the movie company sound, the first one with the movie itselfs, so this are the few seconds difference. Then I tried to encode the movie on my friends computer using I-Author, before that I used VCDXBuild, but always the same. Here my last logfile:

Please help me,

Looking at your log, it is apparent that you ripped the DVD separately from the main conversion process. Did you use internal routines to do the ripping, or did you use another ripper (i.e. SmartRipper)? If you did, rerip with internal routines and try again. Other rippers (especially SmartRipper) are known to be causes of audio sync problems.

Thanks for your answer, you´re right, I used another program to rip, I did this before using DVD2SVCD, so I´m wondering what you mean with "reripping", if I can use the ripped files on my harddisk and then reripp it by selecting all the chapters in conversion table or better use the DVD to rip all again.

It's better to rip from DVD again, but sometimes ripping the files on HDD with DVD2SVCD again can solve sync-problems, too.
