Hey, I'm trying to encode an *.avi using TMPGEnc [Ver. 2.57.41,
Core Ver. 1.90.138]. However, upon opening the the avi I get an error message:

File "E:/*****.avi" can not open, or unsupported.

I can open other types of avis, just not this one. The file is fully operational, it is definitely the format or something the creator of the file did. I have other files of this exact type (from the same source/creator) and they too, get the same error. Here are the specs on the type of avis I cannot open:

AUDIO
Audio Format: Mpeg Layer 3
Average Data Rate: 4.00Kb/s
Sample Rate: 12kHz
Channels: 2(stereo)
VIDEO
Stream name: *.avi Video #1
Frame Width: 512 pixels
Frame Height: 384 pixels
Play length: XXX seconds
Frame count: XXX
Frame rate: 29.970 f/s
Data Rate: 190.867

Hope someone can help. Thanks

Never mind, figured it out. If anyone has the same problem, then under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in, click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1.
