Im started to try authoring with Maestro cause of Multi Lang, Subs, etc

theres my 1st little prob here ;)

i set my chapters manually

and i have self created backgrounds, is there a way to export
the little pics from the chaptors into buttons to a menu in DVD maestro
like it works in SpruceUp

or do i have to create me my backgrounds already with pics from
chapters entries ahead an just overlay a button, wich really wouldnt
ne that comfortably ;)

thx ahead

Assuming I have understood your meaning correctly, the latter method you describe is the case, I'm afraid :(

This might seem a lot more complicated than SpruceUp, and in some respects it IS, but that's only because it actually allows you a great deal more creative freedom to make some amazing menus in Photoshop or Illustrator which would simply not be possible using something as basic as SpruceUp. Where you lose time in Maestro (compared to SpruceUp), you GAIN in other areas, with more complex authoring being remarkably fast to achieve in Maestro. It's a tradeoff. SpruceUp "hides" the process of creating separate subpictures for your backgrounds, but only in a very limited and inflexible manner, so you will probably find enjoyment in the gretaer creativity which is possible once you become comfortable with the manual processing of menu assets.
