I have a DVD which I want to burn.

I have stripped out all off the Subtitles and left one of the soundtracks, but its still 4,499megs

Idealy, I would like to remove the credits at the end of the movie, which means that it would probably fit.

Is there any way to do this??

I should point out that the movie in question is in 'DVD Format' (i.e VIDEO_TS directory with IFO, VOB and BUP files).

I encountered the same problem with toy story 2 yesterday.

Here's what I did to cut of the credits.

1) Download VOBSPLIT 2.6 from here:

http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Vobtools/vobspl26.zip

2) Load the last vob in VOBSPLIT and cut of the end portion (realy easy to do).

3) Delete or move the last vob from your video_ts directory and move the new cut vob into the video_ts directory.

4) Re-run infoedit on the files in the video_ts directory.

ie start from:

Step 3: Stripping and creating new ifo files.
aka'VOB Extras Button'

This worked fine on toy story 2, however i have only tested the disc with my xbox and pc so far with 100% success.

I just tested out my DVD-R with the cut vob file on a sony dvp s525d standalone player and it works a treat. If you need any more help with cutting vob files in order to shrink the overall dvd size, just ask.

Thanks for that.. In the end, I used the 'Split to 2 DVDR' feature from within IFOEdit to do this.

But, a proper too (i.e Vobsplit) is going to be much more useful in the future.

Thanks for your help.

Under VOBSplit, there is a tick box for "Copy 4k Header".. How should I set this?

I my experience leave it unticked.

but last time I used Vobsplit I found it played around with my setop box miniDVD's....I moved over to DVTools and found it to be a lot neater - would be better if we could see where we were snipping with these tools though....instead of trial and error.

Hello,
way donīt you just decrease the bitrate only of the last VOB? It seems you just missed the full copy with a few MB. Try to do this and you will have not to cut any part of the movie. Follow this guide:
