Im not a complete newbie at this.. and not a old timer either but I have not burned one coaster yet since I started a couple of months ago, but I ran into a backup I just cant seem to figure out how to fix.

Backing up "enemy of the State" 4:3 Video etc etc..

Using DVD 9 to 5 method, this is the method I use whenever the Smartripper to 2 DVD's doesnt work.

Im positive my DVD 9 to 5 has been done correctly and I have stripped everthing out except the english audio 5:1 and my Video. The original CD had French audio and both french and english subtitles.. What happens is that during the movie when you change scenes the movie will type "Pentagon, Washington DC" to tell the viewer where the scene in the movie has moved too.. its part of the flick and is fine..but what happens is the chapter will play anywhere from 3 to 15 seconds depending on which chapter then will start over an type that out in French.

Playing off the hard drive its just an annoyance cause it will continue on fine, but burning it and playing off the dvd on the puter and it goes into a loop.. english type rewind: french type rewind: english type: etc etc.. I havent even bothered trying it on a standalone im sure it will be the same or worse..

Im sure there is something that I need to edit out of the IFO's but for the life of me cannnot find it. I have a week on this darn thing and am about to give up.. anyone have any suggestions or seen this before?

Like you, I use Smartripper all the time, but sometimes I encounter a "problem".

One of the first things I try is use DVD Decrypter as an alternative ripper. Try this to rip the movie, THEN use Ifoedit to rip out subtitles / audio.

I can't remember... Is this movie multi-angle?

I dont remember if it is.. I gave up on it.. my first and only one I never got completed.. I maybe try it again though... Wasnt "that" great of a movie but its nice for the collection.

Ok, If you do try again, check for multi-angle. It sounds like that is what your problem is.

I had no problems with this movie, but I just can't remember the details! Good luck.

I ripped the full reg2 DVD-9 disc without any problem.

All I done was used DVD Decrypter 315 to rip whole disc to HD
Created CFFL file for all movie vobs
Rempeged
Remuxed back together using IFOEdit0.6
Changed first PGC to go staright into PGC1(movie)
Menu and all special features still there if you press menu
Got VTS Sectors
Burned and played perfectly.

As far as I can remember it wasn't multi-angle.

i think i found the problem it sems that in ifoedit my cousin unchecked the remove angle button at the top so maybe thats it ill have to check when i get home

I haven't done this movie, but it sounds like a problem I had with a movie I was working on. I had 1:30 of an opening scene...words in English....then looped back but words in French....then looped back with words in Spanish.... after that, the movie played fine.

I fixed it by stripping out "Angles" I kept only angel 1 and now the movie plays that first 1:30 with words in English only.

Hope this helps....Try stripping out angles and keeping angle 1
