CCE synch problems after ifoedit

Greetings.

I have reencoded (due to size of course) one DVD using rempeg2 and it was successful, the quality wasnt that bad, but im a CCE fan myself, so i gave it a try.

Process: d2v file with dvd2avi, without sound. .avs file for CCE with : min 2000, max 8000, avg 4800.

Then, after having the m2v, i used ifoedit and remuxed my new m2v with the vts original vob. (like i did for rempeg2)

It was a mess. The sound is synched with the subtitles, but the VIDEO is out of synch.

Now, i have gone over and over all forum posts i could, and i saw the explanations of splitting them and multiple encodings in cce, but this method is a pain. is there a new solution already?

If you are trying to do an Interlace movie, then I know the solution.
Preview it in DVD2AVI and run it for a while, it should show in statistics, whether it is Interlace or Progressive.
If it is progressive then I dont know why you are facing that problem.

cce remux is not supported in ifoedit anyway.. if it works properly it's pure luck as the GOP structure will never match the original.

if you turn off the CCE auto insert keyframes, and the original movie has std GOP sizes (all of em) then it will work.

I tried the movie with and without 'auto insert keyframes'. After which I remuxed with IFOEdit and the movie was choppy.
The movie is Interlaced 29.9FPS.

Did it work for you m3taPT?

No, it didnt. And I tried 3 different dvd's. Either this method doesnt really work, or (according to Murphy's Laws) i picked the exact ones which dont have std GOP sizes...

I guess I will stick to my method for now (link is above). The only disadvantage is that you dont get original motion menus.

It would, if you even had access to the original GOP structure. Since the original is a M2V file, it will have to be frameserved into CCE for an encoding. The frameserving is a pseudo-AVI file, which will have no GOP structure. Therefore, CCE will have nothing to reference, and will have to generate its own GOP structure.
