When I try to create an image in IfoEdit, I get the following error message: "Can't find the Command Interpreter in file "c:\windows\command.com"." Can this be fixed? If so, how?

It would help to know what OS you're running.

Had the same problem on only one of my WinXP boxes... This really makes no sense to me as the command intepreter (command.com) IFOedit is looking for is a Win9x hold-over from its DOS roots and does not exist in a windows NT environment. (Weird... Works fine on one of my WinXP boxes but not on the other. And also works properly on my Win2k box which also does not use command.com)
Anyhow, here's what I did and it's a relatively easy and quick fix:
Copy cmd.exe (located in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32) to the root level of your WINDOWS folder and rename it to COMMAND.COM

Much easier!
Search for IfoEdit.ini
On my machine, it's located in C:\Winnt\
And now simply edit the following line, with the right location to cmd.exe:
CMDPATH=E:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe

I wonder what setting compatability to Win9x would do? (And I'll keep wondering, as Win2k works fine for me)

Thanks Derrow! That's even better. I didn't see an .ini file in the folder I keep IFOedit in so didn't even think about editing.
And no, setting compatability mode had no effect as command.com still does not exist in the path that ifoedit was looking for when the error was generated.
