I've been using Rempeg for about 18 months with versions of Ifoedit and as has been commented on here at various times, occasionally the remuxed VOB seems to pause for 1 or 2 frames during the movie. (At chapter points?)

There seems no rhyme nor reasons for this. The M2V plays fine, the audio in the remuxed VoB plays fine but there is still, with some disks - not all - this occasional stutter.

So, despite looking I can't find a good substitute for rempeg - any suggestions guys?

I can't find any later version than 1.52 - anyone got the source or know what happened to the author? (German I think..)

I guess next thing to do is to look at the GOP structures that the remuxed VoBs have to see if there are odd repeats or what.

Try using IfoEdit 0.6 - in an attempt to make CCE generated files remux properly, the ReMPEG2 files don't.
As for the program itself, no one has been able to reach the author (or, at least get a reply). His mailbox doesn't get full, so someone is reading the stuff. Apparently he has abandoned the project.

On refelection, given this issue, might it be possible to0 have a switch for 'CCE or REMPEG' in the next version to accomodate either type of GOP sequencing?

Back now from vacation.
Working now on the possablity to mux any m2v and audio stream together to a VOB file.

Lets see what will happen :)

I have a line to the author (complicated).. I have tried repeatedly to get the source but without success.. I got the feeling that even the author doesn't have it.. so I wouldn't bet my money on rempeg.

I tried it once - it crashed repeatedly. Being impatient, that was the last of it for me.
