Hi everybody!
I like to rip a "Safecopy" of "The Abyss" from a german version.
The Vobs are already on my HD...DVD2SVCD already made its work..for a long time...the result is a mixture of two films...because the start sequence of the DVD gives the opportunity to choose between two differnt cuts of this great film.

How can I create a few SVCDīs from one of these versions?

There is of course no button to choose...

Hope somebody understands my problem and has a solution!!

By the way.....I love this programm....first reason to use autoshutdown at my computer..itīs worth it!!

Contact me also under: m.fr@gmx.de

Read all the stickies at the top of this forum (especially the FAQ), and use the search feature. You're not the first, nor the thousandth, more like the ten-thousandth person who's asked this question.

If somehow after you do that, you still haven't found your answer, then you can make a topic.. however, that is unlikely.

I read a lot, but Iīm sorry.... I didnīt found a solution...
Give me a short summary...Is it IfoEdit I have to use? The two films seem to stick together somehow. The ripped vobs on my Harddisk result always to a dobble-lenght film, hopping from time to time...

What are you using to rip the DVD? Are you using the internal routines or vstrip?

No it was speedripper I used, so after that Iīm looking at the vobs to choose the ones Iīd like to add to the film...
You think, thatīs the problem??

You should NOT use anything other than internal ripping routines unless you absolutely have to, in which case you should use vstrip. If those 2 don't work, most likely nothing will, but you can still try. I don't know how many times we'll have to tell people this before they understand...

Thanx very much UltimateDBZ!

I will try all routines of DVD2SVCD and will come back to you if I donīt find a solution.
I will not bore you with questions about the differences between those ripping-tools.
Just one thing....Iīm so happy to get an answer to my problem, but you make me feel like an absolute fool....if there is a forum and you keep an eye on that you have to expect silly questions, even if you have a Q&A...
I made very good experience with this tool up to now (converted 20 DVD up to now) and had no problems at all working also with speedripper and DVD2SVCD. Donīt think too bad about someone opening a post... not all of them are fools.
If you tell me "read the Q&A" why donīt you give me a direkt link to my question?
In the end I noticed, that my question was misunderstood in the beginning, maybe my fault....
Once I was in a computershop and a guy asked the dealer:"you printed that Internetpage for me, but on the screen there is colour and my print is b/w....why?" You can imagine the face of the dealer. of course the guy had no idea at all...but the dealer has to expect such questions otherwise he is a bad dealer and he will loose customers because he seems to be unfriendly.....
Just smile and ignore it.... I have to deal with silly questions too all the day.

Thanx for your attention.

I didn't give you a direct link to relevant questions in the Q&A because you're supposed to have already read the entire thing before posting! Unless newbies have read all the stickies, searched, and have posted a good question, I'll assume they're a 'fool' as you called it.

Anyway, good luck, hope it works :)
