Making Menues work on VCD's with Nero Burning ROM

Hi there...
I have a problem getting the menues Nero can make work on a normal DVD-VIDEO player. The menu works fine on my computer, but the on my DVD player nothing happens when i press the select/ok button. It support VCD because when i play a VCD without menues it just starts playing.
Hopes someone knows what I'm talking about.

The VCD's I have created with Nero work just fine. All I have to do while the menu is showing is to press the number of my liking, or just press play to begin from the track number 1.

If I have so many menu entries that they don't fit on one page (depending on how many thumbnails per page I choose or on the text type and size on text-only-menu), I can switch between the menu pages with the >>| and |<< buttons. If I have entries 1-6 on the first page and 7-12 on another, I can only use the numbers listed on the page which is showing. "Play" begins to play track 1 anyway.
"Menu" button, surprisingly, takes you back to your menu. :)

OK/Enter doesn't have any function in this - you can't get the thumbnails or text lines highlighted and navigate with the arrow buttons the way you do in a "interactive" DVD menu.

If this doesn't work for you, maybe your player doesn't fully support VCD. In that case, if you still want the menu pages, you could try switching the delay of the menu page/pages from infinite to whatever you prefer. I don't remember having tried this, but I believe you can edit this by right-clicking the menu page, choosing preferences and adjusting the delay. This means the movie starts anyway after your choice of seconds.

burn VCD with menu in nero and all ok.

burn SVCD with menu in nero the audio is async.

but when burn SVCD without menu the sync is ok.

of course,the same mpeg (in svcd case).

why it happens?

I haven't been making many SVCD's with Nero, but now that you mention it, I have exactly the same problem - my SVCD's use menu as well. I thought this was because of something that happened under capturing because of the limitations in my equipment, but now I see that this may be a general problem with Nero.

My guess is that the picture is delayed at least the amount of menu frames.

I think you should report the problem to Nero/Ahead, because this seems to be a bug in their product and something they may be able to fix and patch easily. If they do, this will benefit everybody who would like to do an SVCD's with a menu.

If you get a proper answer from them, it could be nice if you put it in here.
