Maybe this is a stupid question but I couldn't found the answer in the forum : why is version 2.50 of CCE still the prefered version to use with D2S while version 2.66 is the latest and normally every version of any package brings enhancements + bugfixes ?

 Eric

Mainly because it is the other way around in this situation. We have very few problems with 2.5 since it has been so greatly researched by MP2 encoders surrounding D2S. Newer versions just complicate things, since they haven't been researched nearly as much. And it's not like you can't use the new versions if you want to, so I don't see what there is to complain about...

Not specifically you, others have had the same [complaint] and it doesn't make any sense to me, since you can use new versions if you really want to...

cce 2.50 can be framserved via .avs (avisynth files). Newer cce versions can't. Well they can only if you install link2 something (I forgot videotools.net) which is $15. I think the newest one (not out yet) of cce will bring back the ability to be frameservered via avisynth.
