This error message just started happening with build 3. I have searched for an answer, but did not find anything relevant. I can post the log file if needed, but in reviewing my log, it only indicates that the conversion of conver1.jpg and DefaultChangCD.bmp were successful. However, I do not end up with a TitlePicture.bmp.avs file or a ChangeCD.bmp.avs file in my default directory. So when TMPGenc fires up, it fails to find the files, and results in the message of my post.
Has anyone else seen this? Or can someone explain what the conversion process of these still bmps is really doing, so I may troubleshoot the problem further?
Thanks,
Rob

While those 2 pictures are nice, they tend to cause trouble, for whatever reason.
Have you searched your computer to see if they were created at all?

Hi there,
does this happen also if you use only the default bitmaps, that com e with the DVD2SVCD bundle? If not, try to convert your JPG file to a BMP before - might help.
Or use VCDEasy and its MJPEG Tools for creating some title and change CD MPGs you can directly use with DVD2SVCD instead of the BMPs so there's no need for DVD2SVCD to convert them anymore as they're already in MPG format.
Hope this helps,
Gerti

They use to cause a bit of trouble with my Apex AD800, but no problems at all on my Apex 5131. I kind of enjoy the movie image as the first track. I can easily identify which movie it is (although if I were better at labeling my discs, it would not be an issue).
This occurs even with the default pics (changecd.bmp is the dvd2svcd default pic).
The bmp's are in the dvd2svcd folder, but the *.avs files are not present in my default folder setup for holding all the file. Even though the log indicates conversion was successful.
I have "DO NOT DELETE ANY FILES" checked, so nothing should be getting deleted.
And... I just noticed that although the log indicates it finished svcd creation, there is no CIF file created by I-Author. :(

This happens to me when I edit the AVS. If I choose to edit the AVS, no title picture or change CD avs' are created. So instead I use Vdub to reencode all of my avi files, adding subs...etc. This method does have its advantage, I can adjust brightness/contrast. Use sharpen and Bi-Cubic resize and adjust/sample-preview the correct aspect ratio. All of this before using DVD2SVCD. This allows me to use no filters and simple resize when running DVD2SCD. TMPGenc will finish a 90 minute encode in about an hour and 15. CCE gives me 1.9 to 2.1.
Now if only DVD2SVCD gave me an option to eliminate resize....
Hope this helps....at least for AVIs.
By the way before you ask...
