When I load the dvd in the dvd2svcd it shows the length of movie as 7 minutes which corresponds to one of the chapters on the disk... And it converts only that chapter. There is only one ifo file on the disk...
Can somebody please tell me how I can get to rip the whole disk?
I tried looking for all the vobs and surprisingly all the vobs are selected...
Thanks for help

Have you tried validating the DVD in a software player such as PowerDVD?

Hi there,
and in addition - did you use the internal routines for the ripping step? If not, then please do so and click the "Movie length" dropdown after loading the IFO file in "Conversion" tab. Then see the "Track length" pulldown to see if there are some more tracks available with the whole movie time.
Hope this helps,
Gerti

@gerti67
you are right... disk has 82 tracks precisely :D each one around 5-7 minutes(Its a song dvd)...
Can you suggest me some easy way of converting this without having to actually creating the batch file for 82 separate tracks...
Does copying a different ifo file work?
Thanks guys
This is an amazing forum

Copying a different .ifo file wont work. You need that .ifo file so that the ripper knows what to rip.
Try to rip it using vstrip sometimes vstrip will be able to rip the whole thing when the internal routines wont work. I will say that I dont think that this is going to work either. I would have to guess that youare going to have to rip the movie 82 times. :(

You can rip the 82 VOBs to disk, rename them from 'VTS_01_1.VOB' to 'VTS_01_82.VOB', use the 'VTS_01_0.IFO' and do a conversion with this ifo. (The sown time in DVD2SVCD will be wrong, but the conversion will be correct). This should solve your problem.
I did this with some movies, but I must admit I never tried it with 82 VOBs.

Its not 82 vobs. The disc has only 7 vobs with 82 tracks...
