On my laptop that I use, Maestro cuts off some of the buttons. It's not that it doesn't have the space for it, it just dissapears. I've set the monitor to be as small as it can get, without any luck. I've done fine with managing without it, but the 'On' box for subtitle selection isn't showing up, and I NEED to check it, so i don't know what to do.
The only reason I know that the button is there is because on my desktop computer it shows up fine.
Help ??

you'll need to set your screen size to 800x600 or more (preferably 1024 or higher).

That's not the problem. There is plenty of room for the options to show..... they just don't.
Check out the screenshot and you'll see what i mean.

In the VIEW menu uncheck the asset bin and the window to the left of that, sorry but I can't remember the name right now, that should take the windows away and bring everything down giving you the room you need. Sorry if this don't help, I'm a bit of a newbie, but I try.

you're running windows in Large Fonts, change back to standard fonts.

As you can see from the screenshot, it's not room that's the problem. It has plenty of space.
I tried unchecking everything under the 'View' button with no luck. I don't use large fonts because I hate large fonts and huge icons, etc. I tried making the fonts of everything smaller anyways, still with no luck.
There's gotta be SOME way to fix this !

in control panel->display->appearance try running in windows standard, cause that pic appears that you are using custom font size, or larger fonts...
im assuming your using win2k, i dont think you are using the normal win2k font (tahoma)
other thing to try is the compact menu layout (file->preferences->display) (which is what brown edges was trying to suggest).

No such luck. It still isn't happening.
I don't really care about the bottom buttons being cut off, since there's still enough for me to click them. But I really need that box i need to check to turn on the subtitles.

not a solution but maybe a workaround;
you could also make a command sequence to turn on the subtitles and link the button to the command sequence...
It's cool to make command sequences :-)

Um...... not that I know of.
I think I got the Command Sequence thing worked out. I set the menu to main menu, and the subtitle set to english, so when they play the movie it should work unless I did something wrong.

The exact same problem of missing options happens on my PC if I run Windows in "Large Fonts" mode. On Win2K settings in Display Properties-Settings-Advanced-Font Size:{Large/Small}

Please tell me if I'm doing this wrong.
By linking the command sequence to the main menu, with the subtitle track set at 1 with the on box checked, when they click 'play movie' at the main menu it will play it WITH the subs right ?
Or will it play the main menu movie with the subtitle track playing instead over the main menu ?

i think that forcing the subtitle to 1 in a command sequence will play subtitle 1 for everything till it is changed again, either by command sequence or user.
