I am trying to split a movie with IfoEdit to fit two dvd-5's. This works fine with other movies I've split, but with one film I have a peculiar problem.

I am splitting a movie where
-VTS_01_0.vob is the main menu
-VTS_01_1.vob and VTS_01_2.vob is a featurette (~1,5GB)
-VTS_02_x.* to VTS_04_x.* are extras and they are on the second disc
-VTS_05_x is the main movie

I have VTS_01_0.vob (with ifo and bub) on both discs, and have tried to have VTS_01_1.vob and VTS_01_2.vob on the second disc (replaced original vobs with small ones and ran get VTS Sectors. Tried also without VTS_01_1.vob and VTS_01_2.vob on the second disc, same result).

Everything works fine with IfoEdit's dvd player as well as with PowerDVD but when I build an image of disc2, the image building goes very rapily and the resulting image is aroung 150 MB's (should be ~4,1GB). When I look the files, it seems that image creation stops after VTS_01_0.vob (main menu). IfoEdit (and DVD player) give no error messages.

The question is, is the compilation invalid or is this an issue with ImageBuilder (tried to build image directly with imagebuilder, same result)? ImageBuilder seems to have some issues, as sometimes it simply just refuses to mount a directory as a virtual drive. When I close the app and try again it works just fine.

Haven't tried to simply burn the files without image yet.

Looks like it was an invalid compilation after all, the dummy vobs I created did not have the correct structure. After correcting this by stripping unwanted vob id's, I was able to achieve small enough size and successfully build an image.
