Hi Guys,

im trying to convert an divX5-File to an MPEG2-Videostream. But when I start the encoding process it fails with this error-message.
The file is in 'old-format' and has NO Audio.
Any hints for me and my problem?

Thanks,
EisT

make sure you have the divx 5 VFW codec (not just the directshow codec) installed, easiest way to do this is open virtualdub and see whether its listed in video compressors.

I've checked the list of codecs but there stands nothing about Direct Show or VfW. The Codec is listed as 'DivX Pro 5.0.2 Codec'. I also can't find anything about it in the Windows-information about the installed Codecs.
Would be cool if you post a link to the VfW-Version if i haven't have it already.

if its listed in virtualdub, then its a vfw codec, otherwise try installing divx5 installer again.
