Sorry if this question has been addressed b4, but when I enter "first play" I get like 7 pages....no real answers to my question though.

My Problem:
I am doing some testing use CCE as my encoder on a DVD.
I am trying to just have the dvd play when it is put into the dvd player. I am not ripping chapters at all.
All I want is the main movie from the original dvd and it encoded to fit onto a DVDR.

I have done all the steps up to authoring and when I do the authoring..add my m2v and ac3 files....it makes the vob files and then gives me these 4 Warnings :

- No First Play assigned.

- Menu Menu1 : No Background Image defined, use default blank image!

- Menu Menu1 : No Buttons defined!

- Menu Menu1 : No Subpicture defined, use default blank subpicture!

It may be a stupid question , but how do I set up my authoring so it knows to start right at the beginning of the dvd and play my movie..
without any chapters.

The vob files play fine in IFOEdit but when burned the dvd player says loading and then stops....

Thx Again for youe help

in view connections (right click on project name in tree) set the first play to the first chapter in the movie (the chapter right at the start of the video you cannot move or remove).

I am using Version 2.9 of Maestro...

It is in View Connections mode.
I right click on the Movie project in the tree and it gives me properties under options...and a couple other options..But no play list of play first option...Is the play first option under properties?

Now when I click on the actual first chapter file in my project window I do see an option available called "Set Playcursor"

Is this the option u mean or should I be under another option.

Sorry for the many questions as I am a newbie to DVD Authoring, but once I get this right I will be very happy.

Thx Alot,
Phil K.

and if you do not use menu, just delete the "menu1" item in the left window. That's probably why you have theses errors :
- Menu Menu1 : No Background Image defined, use default blank image!

- Menu Menu1 : No Buttons defined!

- Menu Menu1 : No Subpicture defined, use default blank subpicture!
