Sorry if this has been brought up earlier, or if it's in the wrong forum (did a search but nothing came up on this issue)
This is really starting to annoy me, I have made several attempts at putting some svcds on dvd-r now, using DVDMaestro to author and RecordNow to burn on a DVR-104. The standalone is a Pioneer dv-444 which supports svcd on dvd - I have tried the vcdhelp sample and it works great, so let's go on to the strange part - I got a copy of Shrek (not made by me) on svcd which was made with 48khz audio. If I just demux it and put it into Maestro (patching the header back and forth ofcourse, using the .mp2 as it is) then the whole thing works like a charm on the player, excellent in fact. However, with all the other stuff I have which is 44.1khz and I have to upsample it doesn't. I have tried everything I can think of - various programs to do the resampling (winamp, soundforge, toolame), tried pcm audio, mp2 audio, ac3 audio... nothing works (it does in WinDVD playing back the generated video_ts), the dv-444 will play a couple of audio frames when I insert the disc then it hangs at playtime 0:01 for about 3 secs and stops. No picture.

ok found out it's not an audio issue - the files that don't work are music videos that I have gotten in the .m2v format (includes audio, dunno what makes them). I don't know what's wrong with them, they play fine in my player if put on an svcd.
Any ideas?
