I am trying to get quality that is high, but not so high that it takes three discs.
The problem i have is that I am always getting sync problems, I have only had one film, the glass house, that had none of these problems.
I have tried all the suggestions in the faq and have read the numerous posts in the forum. - ive run with 0, 1 and 2 in the offset box, checked that there are no zero vob files, ran with and without title pages, used one pass - multi pass and cbr rates (although one pass or cbr would be better for me for speed as it takes over 24hrs for a movie on multiple passes!)i use internal ripping dont bother with subtitles, algorythym is 32 bit, audio at 128 or 192,azid gain selected, cinema craft encoder 1.24,q factor of 5 on single pass
The movies are also out of sync on my pc, not just on my dvd player which is a minato. According to the dvd help website this is fully compatible with anything you can throw at it.
pc - pentium 3 650
256 ram
120gb hdd
My question is this.
1.for an average (say 100 minute) film, exactly what settings will give the required result
2. would it be easier to produce vcd instead of svcd, and can this be done within dvd2svcd as I like the click and leave it philosophy.
thanks

Dear soulman,
a gave you a strike for this one because you broke many rules and the most important one #6 is also affected as your "business" you described in your first post (and that I edited out) is highly illegal.
Also rule #9 and concerning the async issues #1 and #1a could also match here. In addition you posted in the advanced forum also - seems you didn't read anything about the forum structures in the stickies of the basic forum.
