Language: Unspecified (--)

I cannot convert one DVD to SVCD with my language, because there in "Conversion" - Language are only "Unspecified (--)" and not with name. I choose always ROW, where is my language (Czech), but always is converted with English (is as default).

There in Audio section is not possible choose "Unspecified (--)" too.

How I can do it ?

Try to choose it in the conversion-tab, set the number 1 in the line with your language.

I got a audio not available or unspecified (English) ....it was a IMAX dvd. Anyway manually choosing the largest .ifo solved the problem.

How I can use largest IFO ?

I have ripped DVD only on HDD yet ( 1xIFO, 4x VOB ).

DVD has only 2 language - both are displayed as "Unspecified (--)".
When I choose in ROW this one, which is Czech, I got in MPEG still English. ( In audio I have Czech too )

What chainsaw means is that some DVDs have more than one IFO on them, and if you get the wrong one, you'll have trouble. Just make sure that if the DVD has more than 1, that you have selected the largest one of them. If it only has 1 to begin with, then that can't be your problem.

Have you tried to start the conversion in DVD2SVCD? It will analyse the subtitle streams and then display a window where you can select and visually make sure thats the stream you want.
In this window, altought the stream is displayed as "unspecified", check if it is the subtitle stream you want with your desired language. If yes, manualy select it.
"Unspecified" subtitle streams are streams that are not referenced in the IFO file but exist in the VOB file. This was discovered after I tried to convert some DVD's with only one subtitle stream and DVD2SVCD reported there wasnt any. I then reported this problem to DVD2SVCD author and he corrected the problem. I've come up with very weird subtitle issues but DVD2SVCD author has been able to fix all of them :)

I want not Czech subtitles, I want Czech language. DVD has English and Czech languages, but both are displayed as "unspecified". English is 5.1 , Czech 2.0.

DVD2SVCD hasn� in list of languages line with "unspecified" and then it always takes original default language of DVD (it is English).

Oops, looked like the subtitle issue :)
Well, you try to select it manualy. If it is still extracting the english language maybe the IFO file isnt the correct. You should try to rip it again (using DVD2SVCD internal routines, for example) and make sure you select the large IFO file.

OK, I'm ending with trying convert this DVD.

I tried use IfoEDIT.EXE and rename both Unspecified language to Czech and English. Now it is possible make Czech audio.

I have new problem - in movie is 10minuts of original jews language too. I need add subtitles for this 10minuts.

In movie are 2subtitles - CZECH ( for whole movie ) 0x20 and Unspecified 0x21, which are for 10minuts (there is translating for 10minuts.

Is any way choose Czech audio and subtitles for 10minuts ? Because in table is not "Unspecifies", are always selected subtitles Czech for whole movie.

I cannot repair IFO for this ...

Select czech and start conversion. In the subtitle verification screen hit 'next' until this 10min-sub-stream appears. Now select this new stream and deselect czech. You have to hit 'next' quite often, but if you have enough patiance this is the way to do it.

It doesn't matter if these subs are spread all over the movie, you have just hit next until you see one of them, because you can only select a stream if one sub is visible in the verification windows. If selected, DVD2SVCD will get them all.

In verify Windows are 2 subtitles - Czech 0x20 - this is selectet as "1" and Unspecified (--) 0x21 : Deselect.

NO. When I deselect Stream ID 0x20 and select 0x21, DVD2SVCD works still with stream 0x20
