Button Highlights

Hi guys. Not new to the forum but new to write. Maybe some of you scenarist users can help me with this one. I have several pictures (23) under one title in scenarist. Each picture's got buttons to go to next,previous and menu. Everytime you move across the buttons, it highlights. Once you select a button and click on it, it changes color and goes to that particular picture. Everything ok. My problem is that when it goes to the next or previous pic, the highlight is always on the first button. Is there a way that the button I selected remains with the normal highlight in the picture I selected?
tried to make it easy to understand. Hopefully someone with good knowledge of scenarist can help. I thinks is the best authoring program and, not really that hard. I've read a lot of helpfull tips about it here.

i think you should be able to link to a specific button on the menu instead of just the menu.

Yes, there is a way! A very easy after all!

So, here we go...

1. Go to the scenario editor. Select one of your pictures and open the simulation window.

2. In the lower section of the window go the the "subpicture and highlight" tab. In the dropdownmenu select "highlight" if it isn't already selected.

3. Browse to the end of the list. One of the last two entries should read "Forced Selected Button #". Choose from that dropdown list "Nonexistent".

Now, when you call the picture, that button is highlighted, which has the number of the button pressend in the previous menu. I hope I understood your problem right... :)

For those pictures, which have the same highlights as the one you changed now, you could go to the track editor, select the picture with our new highlight options, select the highlight stream, right click, copy. Now you can paste it in the other picture tracks by selecting each track, marking the highlight stream, right click, paste.
But I don't know for sure, wether it only copies the buttons or the highlight info as well...
