first 2 secs of video cut out from beginning of SVCD. why?

hi, i converted "Spriggan" and "Amelie" using DVD2SVCD today and i noticed that the start of the 2nd disc for both titles have the first 1-2 seconds of video cut out. for both DVDs, i manually selected the chapters to be converted on the 2nd disc, and did a 1 pass VBR with CCE (a warning did come up about 1 pass VBR and calculating bitrate for the CD image). i was wondering if the problem is because i did a 1 pass VBR. in general, is 1 pass VBR a good method? or could it be because of a bad CD image?

anybody know about or had this problem before?

i think it's the offset, it's default setting is 2 seconds i believe. This usually isn't a problem since the first 2 seconds of movies is usually black screen and silent audio, and it "helps solve sync issues on some dvd players", but if you're doing single chapters this could easily cut into part of the movie, try setting it to zero and hopefully your dvd player isn't one that needs this offset.

thanks for the response pacohaas. you're right, it is the 2 seconds offset settings in bbMPEG that's cutting out the first 2 seconds of the disc, but that's not all. i also realized that when i burn the image with Nero, that also cuts out the first 2 seconds or so from the disc. so altogether (with 2 seconds offset and burning image with Nero), i lose about 4-5 seconds from the beginning of the disc!

i set offset to 0 seconds and used the "foolproof" burning method and got the video in it's entirety. thanks again for the help! :D
