Issues with my audio getting ripped

I havent been able to get the audio come out when I rip from my movies. I get the video fine but never any audio. I have checked over all the options and am not sure if I have something checked wrong. Im using smartripper. This is something I have looked allover for in the FAQs but have not found anything on. Any help would be nice. thanks

I haven't used SmartRipper in a while, so I can't remember the options fully. But the only reason I can imagine you aren't getting audio is that you have enabled stream processing and unchecked all the audio streams. If you haven't touched stream processing then the audio is more than likely in the VOB and needs to be demuxed - try DVD2AVI for this.

I have the audio streams all demuxed and have them all being ripped at the same time as the video. Im really lost on exactly why my computer hates me so much to utterly screw me in my quest to actually put something from my DVD's onto my computer without the audio. if someone would be actually willing to help me sometime figure this out I would be forever in thier debt.

Do you get the ac3 files in the extraction directory?

Hi! I've just run into the same problem. I've decrypted DVD to my HD & decrypted the video from it, but when I try to get audio with VOB2AUDIO or DVD2AVI it creates empty wav/ac3 files. I used DVDDecrypter 3.1.2.0 in SPTI mode... But when I play the ripped DVD files with PowerDVD XP, it plays sound normally... could anyone tell me what's wrong? Thanks!

using dvd2avi 1.76 be sure to set audio processing in both menus to 'demux all', not 'decode' or whatever. Video to 'no operation'. Save project-file, wait 5-15 minutes for dvd2avi to finish and you should get some nice demuxed ac3-files (and d2v) not wav.
Maybe try to reinstall dvd2avi (included in gordian knot package, and vfapi too).
Would it matter for any audiostream if 'register to vfapi' wasn't checked in the help-menu of dvd2avi?
