As always thanks to everyone for all your help in the past. Here's my latest question.

Ive been making backup copies of DVD movies using DVDdecryptor and IFO edit. All I want is the main movie. I always strip out the audio streams but keep the DD 5.1. I use Ifoedit for this. Is there any advantage to strip the streams while you're ripping vs doing it later in Ifoedit?

I wondered what that smell was :D

It really does depend on what you do with the files afterwards. If you want new IFO files created then yeah, continue using IFOEdit. If you just encode the VOBs to DivX, reauthor the dvd from its m2v and ac3 parts or whatever then you may as well strip them with the ripper.
Its basically which ever way works best for you.
