subtitle problem / bug

lately I get a strange thing when converting rental DVDs (PAL, I'm living in the Netherlands) : 1.0.9 Build 3 can't find any decent Dutch subtitles. The whole vob file is scanned, it takes ages and no recognized subtitles are displayed in the overview. When I'm using 1.0.8 Build 1 the Dutch Subtitles are found in a flash. The Black and Blue colors are swapped (background is blue), that van ofcource be fixed with the pallette button but maybe the real problem is the size of the generated bitmaps which are fullscreen instead of just the sizes of the bitmaps. 1.0.8 finishes the movie okay but I would rather use the latest version ofcource and would help others reporting this bug...

ow I forgot to mention that not all DVD's have this problem but it seems more and more of the new releases (Serendipedy, China Strike Force) show this phenomenon. (I always wanted to use this word in a forum post hehehehe)

Have you tried uninstalling D2S and then reinstalling it? Just make sure that you remove all the files from the old version of D2S.

sure I tried to do that but nothing seems to help. I still think D2S doesn't handle these DVD's correctly...

Do you have another comp that you can try to install D2S on? I seriously doubt that D2S cant handle dutch subtitles.

Another thing to try is see if Smartripper can rip the Subs. Make sure that the subs work. Then see if you can see the subs on the vob files that Smartripper just ripped.
