I am hoping that some one will be able to help me as I have been doing DVD-R films that will play in some dvd players and not in others. I have done 2 dvd 5 films that will work on my computer using powerDVD, and they also work in a Toshiba SD-210E dvd player, but they will not work in Toshiba SD-3109 DVD player. I have tryed using DVD Decrypter to Rip all the Vobs on a DVD 5 , and also use dvd decrypter to write the DVd disc and it still doesn't play in Toshiba SD3109 DVD player. I have also used smart ripper to rip the vobs and write the disc using PrimoDVD. DVD-R dvd films worked in Toshiba SD-210E, but I was getting funny coloured macro blocks in the Dvd film and it used to struggle and then stop playing. I have now gone back to using nero with the video cd setting and also using the Safe discs 3rd generation Dvd -R discs. The films work in playstation 2, Toshiba
SD-210E dvd player, computer, but still not in Toshiba SD-3109 DVD player. I was wondering in anyone else has had the same problem, and who did they over come it. By the way I am using nero 5.5.8 I am also Using ifoEdit 91 and still having problems. If anyone has got the same Toshiba SD-3109 dvd player can they please tell me who they got round the problem of not playing DVD-R films. Thank you.

why are you using video cd settings in nero for a dvd-r??

try using dvd-rom UDF/ISO and only use nero 5.5.8.2 nothing else...apparently people here have serious issues with other versions of nero.

i don't see you mentioning IFOedit at all. you aren't using it?? you should use it to play back your title set. it'll help determine if its a valid title set or not. also use ifoedit to "get vts sectors" just in case.

i now use gear dvd pro edition and have working dvdr's. i tried nero, primo, recordnow and vob instant. they produced dvd's that would play on my sisters dvd player but not my pioneer.

the programme can be download from the internet albeit trial version but if it works for you then the cost will save you money, at least you will have working dvdr's and not coasters.

i use gears video disc options because all you do is choose the folder that contains your dvd files and it automatically creates a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder.

GET IT U WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. i was on the verge of getting a new dvd player, but i don't need to now.

P.S. if you don't feel like parting with your money then you can find a crack on the net.

any problems then e-mail me, i'll gladly send it to you. but i did buy the programme legitimately ;)HONESTLY
