Hi peeps..

Got a problem with tmpgenc... the old 'cannot open or not supported' message when trying to convert ( or even just open ) vcd mpeg files to dvd mpeg2 files.

Lot of people seem to get it.. tried alot of suggestions and none seem to be working.

Computer stats:

Athlon XP 2000+
1024 MB RDRAM
64MB ATI Radeon all in wonder.
80 Gig HD.
Blah Blah.....

Downloaded and installed latest drivers for graphics card.

Downloaded and installed nimo codec pack.

Tried changing the environment settings (moving the windows media codec higher up etc)

Running out of ideas people.

Help would be massivly, massivly appreciated!

Thanks

Did you purchase TMPGEnc? If not, MPEG-2 functionality expires after 30 days. Buy it. It's worth every Cent.

Problem solved people.... i am posting my solution for any other people who hit the same problem.

Seems it was a simple solution in all i had to do was de mux the film from the mpeg format contained on the disk, and simply remux it again through tmpgencs built in tools.

Spot the Newbie!!!:D

@ herman
No need to buy any license, I'm using TMPG 12a and it has unlimited MPEG-2 functionality.
