Why can't I put one movie on one CD ?

Hello, I've tried many different options trying to put different movies onto one 80min CDr with no luck. I've use DVD2SVCD + TMPEG or CCE and other methods and what I'm finding is that the finished MPEG size is fine 812MB but when creating the image it creates a 924MB cue/bin, it does not matter what I use to create the image or drag the mpeg into nero alone. The last movie I tried was Resident Evil. Used DVD2SVCD and KVCD's templates but once the image is created it is way to big. I wish I could get some 90min CD's were I am.
Any help on this would be great :)

Why would you want to do that? The quality would be horrible on a full-length movie. Considering that SVCDs natively support about ~40minutes, you'll start noticing major artifacts and quality loss around twice that length. And you're talking about putting an entire movie, closer to 2hours than 1, on 1 700mb cd. Unless you're one of those people that thinks downloadable 20mb DivX full-length movies are actually GOOD quality, then you'll be in for a surprise.

Funny you should mention, I downloaded Swordfish that was 200meg in size and for the size was not to bad to watch :) (it was a little blurry) I've only got 30/80 vision without my glasses :) :) anyway back to the subject at hand, maybe my problem is the minutes, Resident Evil is 100min. I've put smaller movies on one CD - 80 to 90 min, but I've read people putting 120min on one 800min CD. I just don't know how. I've encoded Resident Evil to an acceptable quality to 800meg but as I mentioned cannot create the image.
Anyone else ?

HOW do u create the image? imo, you create a mode 1 or mode 2 form 1 image, while you should make a mode 2 form 2 image. you CAN'T do that manually, but if you choose 'super video cd' template in nero, it will burn it correctly.

I've used VCDImager and VCDEasy. Both create the image at over 900meg.

Maybe you have padding enabled while making your image?

UltimateDBZ its obvious that you ve never bothered to watch a movie downloaded from the internet...
I last saw "Hard Kiss Goodnight" and was AMAZED !!!

I still CANNOT believe the Quality you get with that MPEG CodeC !!!
And we re talking 2 HOURS in one ^%)MB CD-R !!!
Dont assume anything...Quality is up there with some GOOD commercial sVCD s...

You'll also notice that I said 20mb files, which was an exxaturation (sp?), but still, I didn't say that full-size movies were bad quality.

Why don't you read what you're insulting before you go and make a fool out of yourself...

There is no point in fighting about this. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you think that a movie looks good and I think that it looks like ass then thats the way that it is. :P

Everything is fine now with the cdimages, problem was not with the image creation but with the muxing of the A/V stream. Depending on what stream you are creating depends on how you tell bbMpeg to mux it. I was creating CVD's mpeg2 and had bbMpeg set to mux as a mpeg2 stream which was wrong. I made sure VBR was set and Forced mux rate set to 0 then muxed and the image was created properly.
