ripping menu pictures ?

Sorry for asking this, but I couldn't find an answer for my question using the search engine:

I would like to reconstruct "somehow" an existing DVD.
Getting the elementary video- and audiostreams is no problem, but I'm still looking for a tool capable to extract the menu pictures (best: with sub-pictures), so that I can use these items for authoring.

Anybody who knows how to extract the menues ?

ps. Even so I'm a "newbie" at this board, I'm neither a newbie in using a search engine nor am I new in DVD/SVCD/VCD/XVCD/XSVCD/miniDVD stuff ;).
Anyway, one of the programs I don't understand completely is IfoEdit...

demux the vob_0 by cell to get all the stuff from the menu. Use Vobedit for example, then demux each cell into m2v and ac3, still with vobedit for example

Use subrip to rip subpictures. Just open the vob_0 and choose subpicture only. Then use is obvious.

But, This type of topics are covered into the DVD authoring section.

ps.: About "subrip": Isn't that a tool for ripping subtitles ?
Or is ist a function inside Vobedit (I never took attention of that tool)?

yes, it's subrip, the subtitle ripping tool, which also allow ripping sub pictures.
Last version is quite nice with a preview of bmp before saving and next/skip features.
