View Full Version : Another subtite problem :)

Hi,

I already used the search option but found nothing that could help me.
There were like a zillion threads regarding subs and didn't know what to look for.

I hope somebody can help me since I'm kinda new to this.
I used DVD2SVCD to turn the movie Taxi 2 into 2CD SVCD with selectable subs.
The problem is that there are no subs on the first cd.
On the second cd there are subs and I can select (on/off) so I don't quite understand it :)

Thanks in advance.

Hi TheWiep

I also have that DVD for my country and, like yours, also have one subtitle stream. I tried to convert it using permanent subtitles but the result was that there were no subtitles at all :)
I already reported this to DVD2SVCD author and uploaded a chapter. Let's see what he can do.
I've came across with many of this "single subtitle" stream DVD's and if it wasnt for the quick response from the D2S author most of them werent converted.

We'll have to wait ;)

Titvs

thanks for the reply titvs,

with me the problem isn't that there is only 1 subtitle.
But the problem is I only have subs on the second CD and no subs on the first.

Did you have the same prob?

Thanks again

Well, i get no subtitles at all.
Since you are using SVCD subtitles maybe there's a problem with WinSubMux wich multiplexes the subs into the MPEG file. Or with the subs muxing settings itself.

You'll have to wait for the author to come up with something :p

Hi

I got a simmilar Problem

The SVCD Subs always worked fine from beginning on, but when upgrading (I think it was when Winsubmux was implimanted for the first time) they did not work well.
Now I have to wait for 5 minutes without touching anything on the player and then pressing Pause and Play switching the right subtitle steam and they work great, bizzare.
I had it on Taxi2 and on other DVDs too.
Try it once for your first CD.
By the way maybe someone has a hint what it can be and I have an Elta 8891
