I don't know what is the problem. I'm trying to burn some cue/bin images genereted by DVD2SVCD and I get this error. I'm sure the problem is not with the writer (HP CD-Writer+ 8200 1.0f) because I always recorded such files with this program with no error. I tryed Fireburn too, but with no success (actually it never worked with me). I also tryed Nero to burn the images, but it refuses to write my 800mb file in a 700mb cd. The error message follows:

Error: 'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device 1:0:0
Cuesheet was rejected by de CDROM recorder.

Anyone please can help me? I have 5 movies on my hd and i can't burn them!

thanks in advance,
jaypee.

How do you know its not your burner? I mean really its not like you are the maker of such devices. Check out this thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19415

post your .cue-file.
Maybe there are two lines with same index or an index greater 80 in one line...

is there any specific parameter that i should (un)check (like raw mode)??

i don't know if helps to know that i have the lastest aspi drivers installed (4.17 if i'm not mistaken), easycd 5 with all updates to xp and nero 5.5.6.4, all them on the same machine.

I hope this helps:

Im using also Windows XP and never had any trouble with CDRWin.
You may want to uncheck "raw mode" becasue not all burners support this feature and burn below 10X to see what happen then.
Also I had some issues with ASPI 4.7 before but of course that was on my machine, to resolve the issue I downgraded to ASPI 4.6 witch dosen't supost to work with XP.
You may want to try this at your own risk, it worked for me but it may be different for you. :o

no, it didn't work to.

is that possible that the problem is the aspi (no matter what version)?

nero installs its own aspi

when u try nero, are you going to file/burn image/allfiles and pointing to the cue file?

If u've tried all the burning programs and they dont work, the cue files seem fine, then u could try another aspi layer or removing/reinstalling your cdr from device manager just to let its drivers reinstall. If all else fails you can use vcd gear to extract the mpegs from the bin/cues and then use nero to burn the mpegs to a svcd(i know its a workaround tho)

other than that, i guess a format would be in order. I never had to install aspi to get dvd2svcd to work. i just installed dvd2svcd and nero and it worked fine in xp.

I've seen alot of posts from people who've had trouble with their aspi layer using Aspi 4.6, and 4.7 - However, I use ForceASPI and I've never had any trouble with it. Nor have I read of someone else having trouble with it, therefore I suggest you try ForceASPI before you do something rash (like a reformat) ;)

I agrre with vortex, your cue seems to be correct. have you tried to burn with the 'foolproof way' from Q&A?

I am not sure about this but I think that I heard somewhere that CDRWin and EasyCD 5 and XP will have some problems if you have them installed together. I use CDRWin 3.9A (I think) and I have Nero installed. I would try using forceASPI like DBZ said. I use forceASPI and I have no problems.

hello everybody.

i downgraded my aspi to version 4.6 and removed easycd, but couldn't record all my cue/bin images. i believe there is a specific problem of this few files, more like the filesize... i think they are a bit over the it, because i could burn the other ones.

thanks do everyone,
jaypee

You may want to try now like UltimateDBZ suggested to use Force ASPI
and see what kind of results you get.
:D

If you open the .cue in Nero (with 'file'---'open Image'), what does NERO says about the lengths of this Image? Before you start to burn, you can see the lengths in minutes:seconds in the top right corner of the NERO-window.

why dont u try this method (suggested in the FAQ) :
mount the cue/bin with daemon-tools, check if the svcd is ok i.e. with WinDVD and then do a CD-COPY with your fav burning sw

I don't have the problem, but I just saw this one: http://www.ntcompatible.com/article.php?sid=11487 - perhaps it helps.
