Hi

Does anybody know if this is going to be a easy DVD9 to split?

I have managed to lay my hands on the DVD a little earlier then the release date, I shall up date this thread with my findings.

The reason for this post is to see if our international friends have had a go at spiltting this DVD9.

Wish me Luck.

PS: If anybody can offer any advise before I do the split it would be appreciated!

Mancubas, I have not seen this DVD yet, tough I will have a copy here on Tuesday. What is it about this DVD that leads you to believe that it will be any more difficult than any other DVD 9? I'd just like to know what I will be facing before it gets here.

Just got this dvd the other day. After stripping streams the size is still around 7GB. Did rempeg at 52% scale factor and output still ok. No problem at all. This is a region 1 dvd.

I splitted Lord of the Rings (Regio 2) about 2 weeks ago.
This was a piece of cake: no multi-angles, no seamless branching.
Really very straight forward stuff...

The Lord of the Rings DVD has been out on 'Rental' in the moviestore's
for about 3 weeks now in Belgium....

hope that this is of some help. I've included the PGC information for those who may be using CCE. I personally used CCE on Disc1 and threw the kitchen sink at it with passes, and settled for ReMpeg on Disc2.

Just use ReMpeg on the 4 sets of files and chose say 60%.
