Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I was not sure where to put it!
I am pretty comfortable in ripping an NTSC disc and reencoding it with CCE and sticking it back together with the original menus using IDOedit/IFOupdate (thanks to everyone involved with those threads!)
My question is this: if I have a PAL disc, I can easily convert the movie across to NTSC (using AVIsynth and CCE), but how do I convert over the PAL motion menus to become NTSC motion menus. They are 25fps, interlaced 720x576 resolution.
I tried this: frameserve them in DVD2AVI. Re-encode them as 23.97 720x480 (with pulldown) and then RE-MUX them back into the original VOB. It kind of worked, in that the menus DID change shape and play video. But the audio had disappeared and the 'masks' for the buttons were in the wrong places.
Any ideas how to convert over these PAL menus? Thanks!
