I have been using TMPGEnc to encode my SVCD's, but then i can not play back the mpeg-2 file that TMPGEnc creates. I have tried to run the file using Windows Media Player and with RealOne Player. Do i need a codec? if so, does anyone know where i can find one. thanks for all your help.

Use a software DVD Player like PowerDVD XP or WinDVD 4.
