Need to Fade-Out Color

I have a video clip that is 720 frames long. I want to slowly fade out the color information starting at frame 500 and completing the fade at around frame 600. The reason for this, is the DVD that I am compiling is a black and white classic movie - everything after the fade will be B&W. This video clip will be used as my "FIRST PLAY PGC" item.

Does anyone have a clue as to how I can go about achieving this?

A combination of animate, mergechroma and greyscale could be used:


video=(Your source).converttoyuy2()
vid_grey=greyscale(video)
animate(500,600,"MergeChroma",video,vid_grey,0.0,video,vid_grey,1.0)


That should do it!

If you encounter any problems, download the latest CVS (contains fixes in mergechroma and greyscale).
