DVD-9 to 2 DVD-Rs second DVD chapter problem

I split a DVD-9 into two directories using IfoEdit and following the guide on doom9 "Split a DVD to 2 DVD-Rs". Using PowerDVD 4 XP I ran each dvd from my hard drive. Both of them ran and worked perfect except when I went into the chapters menu to select an episode to play. When I clicked on an episode the video would just freeze but the player wouldn't. So I backed up the .ifo and .bup files and replaced them with the original ones that were produced when I copyed the dvd to my hard drive. Everything worked just fine on the first DVD that had episodes 1-4 but on the second DVD that had episodes 5-8 the chapters didn't work. But I could click play and it would start on episode 5 where it should start and I could skip between episodes just fine. When I clicked on any episode 5-8 it would just play from the begining at episode 5 but when I clicked on an episode from the 1-4 episode menu it would play at the time that episode started but in the 5-8 episode time frame.

What can be done to fix this I have tried looking through the forums but I haven't seen any solutions yet?
