View Full Version : Help converting DIVX to DVD-R - Sync issue

Trawled the forum but can't find the answer!

I have a divx I want converted to author to a DVD-R. I used vdub to split out the uncompressed wav then CCE to convert the avi (audio still in place) to an mpv file with no audio. I then imported both files into Scenarist and authored a DVD. All seems fine apart from the audio being well out of sync. Out of interest, vdub complained about the vbr audio leading to sync issues but since I saved the wav out as uncompressed, I thought this problem would be avoided. Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to re-encode the video.

Thanks

VD don't uncompress the file.
Use NanDub or AVI2WAV to extract the mp3 track (rename the extension from wav to mp3).
Then decode the mp3 to WAV using RazorLame for example.
Now you have a real WAV file!

Thanks for the info. Tried what you said. Still no joy. Sound is way off - at least 2 secs. I don't know what else to try. Original divx is perfect.

Any other ideas?

Then it's a delay issue, correct the delay while muxing.
