Hi,

I'm using IFO-Edit .91 since quite some time now and unfortunately I came across some movies (Tomb Raider; Truman Show among others) which have the RCE checking. I use the 'remove RCE' checking from IFO-Edit and set it to Region 2 (as is my player). However after burning the DVD, my player (Pioneer 747A Regionfree and Micromega and an older Pioneer 505) show on screen 'This disc is not formatted for your region'. How is this possible ?

And yes ... I performed the 'remove RCE' on ALL IFO files ...

Thanks for hints ...

Don't set it to the region, your player has !!!
Rather you must set the region which the DVD should have!
Since RCE checking only apeared on region 1 DVDs, you must set it to Region 1, not 2.

Aah that explains a lot. I thought I need to check the region my player has not the region the DVD comes from. Will try that out tonight.

Thanks for the wonderful piece of software ...

i changed the rc from 1 to 2 in the flick "the one" cause my dvd stand alone is rc2 and the one had rc1 with check. it worked perfect. no problems in watchin the dvd-r. im using ifoedit 0.91.
