I've been working with a couple of Disney movies mostly Tarzan. They tend to put a lot of startup videos before the main menu (like upcoming attractions). Has anyone figured out how to use IFOEdit to strip these startup videos (and warnings) so you can keep the menu to access setup options and the main feature? I know the main movie with a menu system will easily fit on a single DVD+R/RW. I've stripped out the main VOBs for the movie and tried to let IFOEdit create new IFOs, but these do not create the correct structure on DVD+R/RW for a set top DVD player to run.:confused:

It depends on whether you just want to save the space, or want to skip the files. If you just want to skip them you can remove them using Ifoedit from the playback, or if you're not to happy at editing the files, you could remove the pop-ups so that you can jump through them.

Does it hit the previews when you start the disc, or after you've selected the movie from the main menu? If it happens at startup you can modify the "First Play" action and have it go to the menu or movies instead. Search the forum for "First Play", I believe Derrow had posted information on it in the past.

yep! Jdobbs is right!
I always do that with the Disney movies with that annoying Trailer-Preview that is automatically played at start up.
After ripping I just throw out all the title sets containing trailers and change the first play command in Video_TS to Jump to vts_0x (where the movie is located at).
This way I get a working DVD, that starts playing the movie right away but if you press a menu key it jumps to that menu without problems.

Unfortunately the TARZAN flick has 4 pre command lines. I can't tell which one to modify. I've tried the first one which did sent me directly to the menu, but after choosing "return to movie" it hung. I just decided to strip it down to just the movie and it burned fine and is working in my set top DVD player.

One other question regarding Nero. I've come across two situations that prevent burning a DVD. The first one is when Nero claims "File size is not a multiple of a logical block size (2KB)". The other one is when it claims my 4.7G blank DVD doesn't have enough space to write a 3.8G movie.

Anyone come across these errors and have a suggestion?
