Hi folks. This is my first post here, so don't really kick my ass if I do anything wrong ;)

First of all I want to thank you guys for a very nice site and all those questions I got answers for. Really nice job, so thanks a million.

Now, moving right along to the questions.
In past several months I was doing a lot of ripping (thanks Netflix, I got really good collection of movies I would never think of buying) and based on guides from doom9.org I have developed really dumb but 99% working method that requires minimum attention to follow. I use this most of the time to rip DVD9 into 2 DVD4. Here it is:
1. Rip movie VOBs onto harddrive
2. Run IfoEdit to create IFOs (Create IFOs button) on first 3 VOBs
3. Rename remaining VOBs into VTS_01_1.VOB etc, so they look like a new movie
3. Correct the resulting IFO file to display subtitles properly for both sets of VOBs (they're in different dirs)
4. Burn test DVD-RW
5. Burn two final DVDs

I don't really need menus and all the fancy-shmancy stuff, what I really want is a movie. However, I would like to keep subtitles if possible. IfoEdit almost never recreates subtitles properly, so I would like to know if there's some certain place in original IFO and in resulting IFO to keep color information on subtitles. I think I can write a small proggie just to copy those 45 bytes :)

Any feedback will be appreciated. Also, I include the list of programs used, if anyone has anything to add - you are more than welcome. I really want to ace these skills, $26 per DVD is way too much :)

DVD Decrypter 3.1.1.0
SmartRipper 2.41
IfoEdit 0.91
Nero Burning Rom 5.5.9.0

BTW, did I mention that I would like to help anyone to translate guides etc into russian? :)
