Force Film?????

Hi all.
I'm currently ripping "OZ - Season 1" which is NTSC.
I'm more used to dealing with PAL dvds myself.
While using DVD2AVI, force film was checked, which i was not aware of until I noticed that the final .AVI was at 23.976fps.
The clip plays fine, looks great and the sound is in sync too.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but, this would slightly improve the visual quaility as there is less frames to encode??? :confused:

Will this have any playback problems that I'm not aware of????

You will probably notice a slight judder or jerkiness on long slow pans where you eye will try to track the motion. And if it was originally video source then you will probably also see some weave (comb) artifacts on fast motion.

I think I can live with a bit of jerkiness in these rips.

follow doom9's guide for using DVD2AVI with NTSC video. It will tell you whether or not you should use force film.. if you can't use force film (you will find out in the guide) then you should IVTC using decomb. hope that helps.
