Help with file with extension *.dat ---NE1 ?

I just got a program , easyDVDripper , after ripped some videos , i ended up with some files with the extension *.dat.
Using PowerDVD and other DVD players , i can read those files, but any program out there which can extract those into a MPEG2 or converts to AVI files.

DAT-files are MPEG1 VCD files.
You can open them in VirtualDub to convert them to AVI.

Keep in mind that the convertion will lead to much worse video quality, so you better keep those files as is.
