Help stripping audio & subtitles and putting it back together?

I'm trying to strip everything out of American Pie except for the 6 channel english audi so that it will fit on a single dvdr. The main movie files are 5.02GB all together.

I can manage to strip it using ifoedit down to 4.3gb.

My problem is that once stripped, I can't put it back together so that it plays.

If you know how to do this please give me your "guide" on how you did it. I've read numerous guides but have had no luck.

if you use ifoedit to strip streams it will give you all you need
for a movie except get vts unless your doing something else?

Problem solved, I was doing more than what was necessary.

However, I did run into a new problem.

The main movie files are 4.39GB all together.

However, nero says that it won't fit on my 4.7GB blank DVD+RW and therefore won't let me burn to it.

Does anybody know what this might be about?

Well, that's because there's a lot of confusion with the sizes. I already saw the official explanation somewhere but bottomline is that you cannot burn more than 4,33 Gb

In fact DVD R are 4 700 000 000... so 4,34Gb

Jet-

To strip streams and have the movie only, I opened up the main movie files with IFOEdit and selected the following options after pressing 'VOB Options':
-Strip Streams
-Correct Vob-Unit(Navigation Pack) pointers
-Correct IFO Tables with new Vob-unit information
-Create new Video_TS.IFO & NEW VTS_01_0.IFO

On the right side the only option not selected is:
-Remove llvi/Angle point and the option under it

And I have the vob size at 1gb

Then I set a new destination directory and rip all the files to there, close IfoEdit, re-open it, get VTS sectors and the movie works.

I was having problems trying to keep the menu, but i decided to heck with it b/c it takes up space anyways.

The real fact, a DVD-R takes 4.37GB !!!

Another hint, use IfoEdit's Menu-Option 'Check DVD-R size' and it will tell how much bytes you've got left or exceeded.

4,37 effectively. My brain were somewhere else...

I guess this mistake between the 4,7 GB marketing name of DVDR and the real 4,37 Gb of the media will come up again again and again...
